Makes me believe that there are still good people out there. Getting the level of service I expected and more was truly humbling. Magnificent views! What made it more enjoyable was the great service provided by everyone not just to my family but to the rest of the guests. However, I'm so glad we booked this tour cause it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a fun one to boot. We came to Kona without any agenda, just planned on relaxing after a weeklong stay in Oahu. They also provided a walking tour of the vineyard, if you still had some energy left. We even get to have a glas of our favorite wine with dinner. The food was delicious (the guy who made it- forgot his name- was hilarious and entertaining). We enjoyed the wine tasting- had to order a few bottles to go because it was that yummy. Volcano Winery (for dinner) was amazeballs. The whole ride was relaxing and comfortable. Helicopter ride was fun- our pilot Ethan was funny and entertaining. They took safety seriously, making sure they gave us the "safety" speech without cutting corners before the flight. The Blue Hawaiian staff were all so helpful, kind, accommodating and had a smile on their faces, especially the front desk staff at the airport. I wasn't a fan of the small bowl helmets though hahah. Hawaii truly is a paradise and I've traveled to many countries before. The first line was short and planned that way to break in newbies. He even did a couple by himself! The staff were very patient and entertaining- thank you Paulina (boss lady during the ziplining and super patient with Marvin), Giddis (very informative and helped Marvin a lot), Mahea (she's very funny, my kind of humor! Made the day more fun) and Joey (helped everybody and I think he's the bossman). son Marvin had a fun time hanging out with him. Chris is knowledgeable and knew so much of the topography. We enjoyed listening and learning from his stories. Our driver Chris was more of a tour guide- well versed with the history of Hawaii and made the ride really fun. Diners relax in the grand splendor of the newly renovated dining room, with floor-to-ceiling windows allowing stunning views of Hilo. Will I use them again? Love to! Recommend? Absolutely! Bus ride was helluvah entertaining. The heart and soul of dining at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel is the revered WSW The Steakhouse Restaurant.
